Contributor Permissible Content
Whole Child Contributors may submit relevant resources that are either authored by the contributor or resources that are authored by someone else but used with the authored permission and properly attributed and linked as required during submission.
Before submitting content, please review the following:
Consider the privacy of those referenced in your article and remain respectful when sharing details of others’ lives.
Use your own perspective and avoid making assumptions regarding what others in your story may be feeling or thinking.
Avoid suggesting that another person’s circumstances are better or worse than your own.
Use respectful language. If your post is critical, which is allowed, it should also be constructive.
Both person-first language (i.e. “person with disability”) and identity-first language (i.e. “disabled person”) are approved for use.
Site sources for any facts, quotes, statistics, etc. shared.
Consider this question: “What is the purpose of my article?” You may have multiple answers: to share something I’ve learned, to let others know they’re not alone, to help someone in a particular situation, etc.
